For the 2023 National Quilt Day, come join us to share and pass on the love of quilting to a new generation via the creation of a “jelly roll” quilt in our classroom. This event is free. However, you must register in order to reserve your seat.
Bring your sewing machine and a youth (under the age of 18 years old) who you want to share your passion with. Don’t have a younger buddy to accompany you but you would like to participate? We can try to pair you up with someone.
Bring a jelly roll with you or you can purchase one from us or make your own. A "jelly roll" is 40 to 42 stripes of 2 1/2" wide fabric. Using standard quilting cottons; measuring 44-45" in width, they are cut 2 1/2" by "width of fabric" (WOF) / selvage to selvage.
What's a Jelly Roll race? Watch this video.
Machine rental is available. However quantities are limited. Call the store directly for details and / or to book.
You may keep your quilt top or are welcome to leave with us to donate to one of the charities we support.
Let's join together and pass on the art and love of quilting to the next generation.
Our space is limited to 10 pairs of adult with a youth so sign up now for the fun!
