Instructor: | Billie Stephens |
Instructor Bio: | Billie started quilting in 1991, when she was encouraged to take a beginner's class by her sister. She has been making quilts steadily since then, and is an active participant in the Ottawa Valley Quilters Guild, where she has previously served as president and on the guild executive. Billie loves learning new quilting techniques and has taken numerous quilting classes, including an introduction to Studio 180 design rulers taught in Lancaster PA by Deb Tucker herself! Although her favourite part of the quilting process is piecing, she now does her own quilting on the longarm she purchased in 2020. Billie began teaching online classes to friends and guild members during the Covid lockdown, and currently teaches in-person classes at quilt stores throughout eastern Ontario. She continues to use Deb Tucker's rulers as much as possible, and also enjoys the curved rulers from Sew Kind of Wonderful. Billie likes to pass on her knowledge to others, all the while having fun! |
