Mesh Tote Bag & Zippered Pouch
These days, who can have too many bags for carrying your items?
Join Barb while she share her creative talents when making a matching mesh tote and bonus pouch.
Fabric Requirements for both tote and pouch:
Fabric 1 (main) - focus fabric for tote bag and pouch 1/2 yard OR 2 Fat Quarters
Fabric 2 (accent) - accent fabric for tote bag and pouch 1/4 yard OR 1 Fat Quarter
Fabric 3 (lining) - lining fabric for pouch 1 Fat Quarter
Notions Requirements
7" (approximate) matching or contrasting zipper (can be larger and cut to required size (click here to see our selection zippers on our website)
Pet Screen & Strapping (included in class price)
This heavy duty mesh (sometimes referred to as pet screening) will provide extra structure and durability to the tote bag. A half yard of black mesh will be waiting for you at class along with 3.5 yards of black strapping.
Pattern
No pattern required. A handout will be provided.
Sewing Machine
- must be in good working order

Sewing and Quilting supplies
- Matching black and contrasting thread
- Bobbins for your machine
- Topstitch 90/14 needles
- Rotary cutter
- 24" cutting ruler
- Clips (wonder clips)
- Scissors
- Your regular sewing kit
In our classroom at Watergirl Quilt Co, you will be able to enjoy the use of our
- tables; for your comfort, some of our individual sewing tables are mechanical Sit / Stand desks.
- chairs; bring a seat cushion if you have one
- iron and ironing boards
- cutting mats on large table for cutting
Complimentary coffee and tea will be available in our kitchenette. Please bring a travel mug or sealed cup to avoid any spillage.
Don't feel like bringing your machine with you? Rental machines are available (limited quantity). Please contact our store directly to confirm current pricing and availability.
You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open this door to make it easier to bring your things in.
Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat, you will receive a full credit to a gift card as long as the cancellation is made more than 2 weeks prior to the class date. After that time, you will forfeit your full registration fee.
If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
