Watergirl Quilt Co loves By Annie patterns and products. Over the last few years has placed in By Annie's "Your Favourite Local QuiltShop" and was the 2022 overall 2nd runner up and the 2023 Provincial Winner for Ontario.
All aboard! These cases are not just for the train.
Whether you're globetrotting or touring closer to home, you'll love these stylish cases for carrying cosmetics, jewelry, first aid supplies and more.
Spend the day with Michelle; owner of Watergirl Quilt Co in our classroom making your ByAnnie All Aboard Train Case. She will teach you many of the By Annie techniques; such as zippers, how to sew with mesh and fold over elastic, curved corners on bags that can be used for many of By Annie's other patterns.
This fun By Annie class is great for both a seasoned bag maker and someone who is just entering into the world of bag making. Although no bag making experience is required, you must be able to complete the pre-class preparation of quilting, cutting and labelling the pieces according to the pattern instructions.
Use the larger case for extended vacations and the smaller cases for a quick weekend getaway. Throw your glam and you're ready to go anywhere!
The small train cases measures:
Small - 5 1/2"D x 8 1/2" L x 2 3/4" H
Medium - 6 1/2"D x 9 1/2" L x 4" H
Large - 7 1/2"D x 10 1/2" L x 6 1/2" H
PRE CLASS preparation required prior to class:
This class will focus on the construction of the bag pieces, therefore you must have the following PRE class homework completed and bring to class.
- fabric must be pre-quilted to your chosen bag size according to the pattern.
- pre-quilted fabric must be cut and labels pre pattern instruction.
- binding must be pre-cut and joined.

you run into any problems.

In our classroom at Watergirl Quilt Co, you will be able to enjoy the use of our
- tables; sit / stand mechanical raise and lower
- chairs
- iron and ironing boards
- cutting mats on large table for cutting
NOTE for added comfort bring a seat cushion.
Complimentary coffee and tea will be available in our kitchenette. Please bring a travel mug or sealed cup to avoid any spillage. Tap water is drinkable.
Lunch
Sandwiches and fruit will be provided.
If you have any food allergies, please let us know.
NOTE: our fridge space is limited, so we suggest you make use of a thermal lunch bag.
Machine rentals
Don't feel like bringing your machine with you? Rental machines are available (limited quantity). Please contact our store directly to confirm current pricing and availability.
Arrival
You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open it’s door to make it easier to bring your things in. Please note that you will be allowed in as soon as the front opens at 9:30 am. You may notice staff in the store earlier, but they will be busy preparing for store opening.
Parking
Limited parking spots are available in the parking lot at store level. Please refer to signage to ensure you are NOT parked in a spot that is designated for resident parking. Free long term town parking is available on the river side of our building, to the left. There is no parking allowed on the Water Street. E-chargers are available within the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot
NOTE: there is time limit for the parking in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.
Cancellation of Classes or Retreats
Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat, you will receive a full credit to a gift card as long as the cancellation is made more than 2 weeks prior to the class date. After that time, you will forfeit your full registration fee.
If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
