Why sew alone when you can be amongst friends?

Ahoy, let's sew away the day together!   

This sew day falls on Mother's Day weekend, but you don't have to be a Mom to enjoy this day with us.  Enjoy a boxed high tea lunch and a gift of a flower

Enjoy this sewing day retreat with other sewists / quilters by bringing your sewing machine, tools and works in progress or your hand sewing projects. 

Each sew day retreat will have a staff host for the day with a theme.  Plus a 30 minute demo of some handy products and/or tools or project.   

Themed project
May - Tea Wallet tutorial (can be used for more than for tea bags)


This session is not a class.  You will be working independently, but you just might learn something from one of the other quilters who are attending and perhaps share in a laugh or two.

Book a spot just for yourself or sign up with your friends.

In our classroom at Watergirl Quilt Co, you will be able to enjoy the use of our
- tables; sit / stand mechanical raise and lower
- chairs
- iron and ironing boards
- cutting mats on large table for cutting 

Required materials
- bring what ever you want to work on and what is required to do so.
- If you have a seat cushion, bring it for added comfort. 


Boxed High Tea Lunch (Lunch will be provided and included in the price) 
For May's Sew Your Day Away and it falling on Mother's Day weekend, we are offering a boxed High Tea lunch.  You will be provided a boxed lunch containing sandwiches and treats that can be enjoyed at your sewing station.  


If you have any dietary requirements, you are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks. Please let us know if you have any food allergies.

NOTE: our fridge space is limited, so we suggest you make use of a thermal lunch bag.  

During your sew day, we will also provide you with coffee and tea at no cost.

Machine rentals
Don't feel like bringing your machine with you?  Rental machines are available (limited quantity).  Please contact our store directly to confirm current pricing and availability. 


Arrival
You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open it’s door to make it easier to bring your things in.   Please note that you will be allowed in as soon as the front opens at 9:30 am. You may notice staff in the store earlier, but they will be busy preparing for store opening.

Parking
Limited parking spots are available in the parking lot at store level.  Please refer to signage to ensure you are NOT parked in a spot that is designated for resident parking.  Free long term town parking is available on the river side of our building, to the left. There is no parking allowed on the Water Street. E-chargers are available within the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot  
NOTE: there is time limit for the parking in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.

Cancellation of Classes or Retreats
Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat, you will receive a full credit to a gift card as long as the cancellation is made more than 2 weeks prior to the class date. After that time, you will forfeit your full registration fee.

If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
