Introduction to Machine Quilting - Free Motion Quilting (FMQ1)
Wendy Foster Birch will introduce you to free motion quilting using your domestic machine (these techniques can be used on mid and long arms too!)
This course is designed for beginners who want to learn how to machine quilt or if you
have already taken a course and haven’t quite got the hang of it yet, then this is for you!
This is not a beginner quilt pieceing class! Please read the class requirements carefully to ensure you are a good fit and will be successful.
Wendy will start the class talking about how to pick designs and threads. Then she gets into the fun and learn how to machine quilt loops, hearts, leaves , stars, and stippling while getting familiar with machine tensions.
By the end of the course you will be able to machine quilt comfortably and have several machine quilting designs in your wheelhouse to choose from.
Wendy will also cover the use of different battings and how to baste. Students will then learn
