Summer Break - 2 day Retreat

• Sew all day from 9:30 a.m. 11 p.m.
• Welcome loot bag
• 10:00 a.m. Welcome game with a prize.
• Enjoy morning snacks.  Lunch will be served in the classroom, eat at your sewing spot.
• 5:30 p.m. (approximately) Dinner will be a group meal served in the common room of the Condominium.  Participants are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages (alcohol may not be open until after store closure at 4:30 p.m.) 
• After dinner game: Fat Quarter Game (bring 3 FQs to participate or purchase some before the game)
• Laughter
• continue sewing to your heart's content.

Sunday, August 18th

• Sew all day until 4:00 p.m. 
• Enjoy morning snacks. Lunch will be served in the classroom; eat at your sewing spot. 
• Work on your projects.
• 3 p.m. Wrap up with Show & Tell at 3pm. You may bring projects to show or show what you worked on during retreat, or both!

NOTE: Lunch and dinner meals included in registration fee. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options are available.  All participants will be contacted 2 - 3 weeks prior to event to confirm such dietary requirements

In our classroom at Watergirl Quilt Co, you will be able to enjoy the use of our
- tables; our individual sewing tables are mechanical Sit / Stand desks.
- chairs; for added comfort, bring a seat cushion if you have one
- iron and ironing boards
- cutting mats on large table for cutting
- cutting mat at your workstation


Complimentary coffee and tea will be available in our kitchenette. Please bring a travel mug or sealed cup to avoid any spillage. Tap water is drinkable.

Don't feel like bringing your machine with you? Rental machines are available (limited quantity at special retreat pricing of $40 for the 2 days of use.  This is also a great way to try something new.  Please contact our store directly to confirm current pricing and availability.

Store opens at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.  You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open the classroom door to make it easier to bring your things in.

So are you in for some self care time?  Come on your own or with friends. Pick a project or 2 or 3 and pack your sewing tote and your sewing machine, for 2 days of fun. Let us feed you and inspire you for a weekend of quilting fun and the quilt store at night shenanigans!

Overnight parking
The Zens Inn has dedicated parking spots and they happen to be in the same lot as our store. Cars are safe there overnight.  Parking will be available at the Zens Inn spots until after 12 Saturday as there may be cars parked by those staying at the Inn Friday night.

The Ship and Anchor Inn has it's own parking near their location.  It is also only a short walk away.

Dewars Inn and Cottage is about a 5 minute drive west of the store.

Limited parking spots are available in the parking lot at store level. Please refer to signage to ensure you are NOT parked in a spot that is designated for resident parking. Free long term town parking is available on the river side of our building, to the east. There is no parking allowed on the Water Street. E-chargers are available within the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.
NOTE: there is time limit for the parking in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot

Cancellation of Classes or Retreats
Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat, you will receive a full credit to a gift card as long as the cancellation is made more than 2 weeks prior to the class date. After that time, you will forfeit your full registration fee.

If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
