Why sew alone when you can be amongst friends?

Ahoy, let's sew away the day together! 

Do you have any Christmas sewing to work on? Enjoy this sewing day retreat with other sewists / quilters by bringing your sewing machine, embroidery machine, tools and works in progress or your hand sewing projects. 

This sew day retreat will Cathy as your host for the day.


Gift of a project
You will be gifted 1 Trailhead Yarn Stick 'N' Stitch design transfer.  Bring an item such as as a pair of jeans, jacket, t-shirt, etc. to adhere your Stick 'N' Stitch design transfer to and Cathy will demo how to use them.  You will also have use of yarns throughout the day.       

This session is not a class.  You will be working independently, but you just might learn something from one of the other quilters who are attending and perhaps share in a laugh or two.

Book a spot just for yourself or sign up with your friends.

In our classroom at Watergirl Quilt Co, you will be able to enjoy the use of our
- tables; sit / stand mechanical raise and lower
- chairs (for added comfort, bring a seat cushion)
- iron and ironing boards
- cutting mats on large table for cutting 
- cutting mat at each workstation.

Required materials
- bring what ever you want to work on and what is required to do so.
- If you have a seat cushion, bring it for added comfort. 

Lunch
Lunch will be provided and included in the price and will be eaten at your workstation. This day's menu include chili (both a vegetarian and GF options available), rolls and a dessert.  
If you have any food allergies or sensitivities, please let us know. 

If you have any special dietary requirements, you are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks. 
NOTE: our fridge space is limited, so we suggest you make use of a thermal lunch bag.  

During your sew day, we will also provide you with coffee and tea at no cost.

Machine rentals
Don't feel like bringing your machine with you?  Rental machines are available (limited quantity).  Please contact our store directly to confirm current pricing and availability. 


Arrival
You may enter via the main door of the store or if someone is in the classroom they can open it’s door to make it easier to bring your things in.   Please note that you will be allowed in as soon as the front opens at 9:30 am. You may notice staff in the store earlier, but they will be busy preparing for store opening.

Parking
Limited parking spots are available in the parking lot at store level.  Please refer to signage to ensure you are NOT parked in a spot that is designated for resident parking.  Free long term parking is available on the river side of our building, to the left. There is no parking allowed on the Water Street. E-chargers are available within the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.  
NOTE: there is time limit for the parking in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.

Cancellation of Classes or Retreats
Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat, you will receive a full credit to a gift card as long as the cancellation is made more than 2 weeks prior to the class date. After that time, you will forfeit your full registration fee.

If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
