Circle Play Pin Cushion & Creative Stitching

Join Michelle Peters; owner at Watergirl Quilt Co walks you through all the stitches needed to make this cheerful Circle Play Pincushion. We will be referring to the Creative Stitching book by Sue Spargo.

This is ZOOM and hand sewing class. No experience is required and over the 2 - 3 hour classes you will have the skills necessary to finish the project.

The bright design of the Circle Play Pincushion is achieved through layering of velvet and wool, as well as colourful embellishing with embroidery stitches.  The Circle Play pincushion is sure to bring a vibrant pop of happiness to your sewing space! 

During this class, you will learn to:
- whipstitch applique down the wool circles onto a background
- needle turn the velvet and applique it
- how to do 6 embroidery stitches to embellish this cheerful pin cushion.


Supply List (Click here to purchase a kit) : 

•    Circle Play Pincushion Pattern 
•    10 different colours of wool fabric each sized 2” x 2” piece recommended for cutting out circles
•    Background wool fabric in spring leaf green sized 4” x 5”
•    Backing wool fabric in peach sized 4” x 5”
•    3 different colours of velvet fabric each sized 2” x 2” recommended for cutting out circles
•    One small button for embellishing
•    Cotton fabric lining 2 pieces each sized 5” x 4” 
•    Crushed walnut shells 
•    #24 chenille needle
•    #11 straw needle
•    #3 milliners needle
•    Drizzle stitch wool pad or other small wool pressing mat
•    5 different colours of 8 wt perle cotton thread or tencel thread to coordinate with your wool fabrics (we suggest and sell both Trailhead and Valdani brands)
•    80 wt neutral applique thread such as Aurifil #2600 Dove or 50wt threads in matching colours to each of the wool felt fabrics

•  Bohin glue pen or other fabric glue pen
•  Creative Stitching by Sue Spargo 

Cancellation of Classes or Retreats

Should you decide to cancel your registration for an event, class or retreat more than 2 weeks prior to the event date, you will receive a full store credit to a on a Watergirl Quilt Co.  If  you cancel 2 weeks or less prior to event date, you will forfeit your full registration fee.

If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant but Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
