Welcome to the Sew-Create-Connect - Ultimate Bag Retreat 2025!
Watergirl Quilt Co is excited to have you join us along with guest Tara C. Sinclair of UhOh Creations for this amazing event designed for sewing enthusiasts of all levels. 
This Event is a none instructional / project directed (although there will be some instructional demos) - bring your own projects on your TODO list. Get ready to gather and create your own beautiful bags while connecting with fellow creatives in a supportive atmosphere.
Retreat Bag 2.0
Tara will be guiding us in making Emmaline Bag's "Retreat Bag 2.0". Janelle; owner of Emmaline's Bags has graciously permitted us to share her "free" pattern to our participants. Click here to download pattern from the Emmaline Bags site.
During the retreat, Tara will introducing us to some great modifications and add-ons to the "Retreat Bag 2.0". There are 2 size options for this bag; they make fabulous gifts and great for all sorts of other things.

As an added bonus during this 4 day retreat, Tara will be teaching us how to make her Jerry Sneakers!
The pattern for the Jerry Sneakers is a "free" and downloadable from Tara's website UhOh Creations; Click here to download the Jerry Sneaker's pattern. Supplies are extra. Watergirl Quilt Co will have the soles that are required for the Jerry Sneakers
We are offering 2 sessions of the Sew-Create-Connect – Ultimate Bag Retreat 2025; each will be 4 days. You are welcome to sign up (subject to availability) for one or both of the sessions.
Offerings:
The session dates are as follows:
Session 1 – Friday, May 30th – Monday, June 2nd, 2025
Session 2 – Tuesday, June 3rd – Friday, June 6th, 2025
You must register for each session separately. This post is for Session 2.
Location:
The Event will be held at the McIntosh Country Inn, 12495 County Road 2 E, Morrisburg ON K0C1X0
Session fee:
Each 4 day session will cost $575.
What’s included in your fee per session?

Access to the conference room we will be using at the McIntosh Inn. The room is brightly lit and has lots of natural lighting.

Day 1 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Day 2 & 3 from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Day 4 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Fresh tea and coffee in the conference room both morning and afternoon throughout Day 1 – 3. Day 4 only in the morning.

Individual workstation; approximately 2’ x 6’ table
-
Access to a separate room for ironing / pressing (no personal irons will be allowed in the main conference room)

Access to a central cutting station within the main retreat room; will include cutting mats. Bring your own rotary cutters.

Each session will have 4 demos by Watergirl Quilt Co and / or Tara C. Sinclair; UhOh Creations.
NOTE: in the “second session” two of the demos from the “first session” will be repeated; therefore if you attend both sessions you will have 6 unique demos along with 2 repeated demos.

Dinner will be included on Day 1, 2 and 3 of each session. Gluten Free options will be available at each dinner.

What is not included in your Sew-Create-Connect – Ultimate Bag Retreat 2025 fee:

Sewing machines are NOT provided.

You are responsible for bringing your projects, tools and materials to work on.

Highlights of the Retreat

Workshops: Work on your own bag projects or any other sewing projects.

Guest Instructor:
Enjoy inspiring talks / demos from renowned bag designer; Tara C. Sinclair of UhOh Creations sharing valuable insights and experiences in the world of bag making; along with showing us some of her creations. Tara will be on site from 9 a.m. until dinner. She will join us for the group dinner, drop into the room throughout the evening and join in various social activities.

Pop Up Shop: Watergirl Quilt Co. will have a pop shop within the conference room. There will be various bag hardware (including Emmaline), zippers, fabric, kits and patterns. Of course there will be some UhOh Creation patterns!

Socials: Unwind with your fellow participants during our evening activities, including a show and tell event.

All skill levels are welcome.
Where to lay your head at night?
You have the option of going home each evening or your own accommodations.
Watergirl Quilt Co. has worked with the McIntosh Country Inn to offer a special 4 night stay rate; including breakfast
McIntosh Country Inn offers a special 4 night package for each of our sessions:
1. Session 1: Thursday, May 29th (check-in) - Sunday, June 1st (June 2nd check-out)
2. Session 2: Monday, June 2nd (check-in) - Thursday, June 5th (June 6th check-out)
The price per room is $610.20 (4 nights at $152.55 ($135. + taxes); regardless of the number of people staying in the room.
If you wish to include breakfast, it is $78 (includes taxes and gratuity) for all of the 4 days. This charge will be calculated per the each person (not per room) staying in the room
The McIntosh Country Inn has many amenities to offer; such as anexercise room, sauna, hot tub (indoor and outdoor), an outdoor pool (which should be open), pub, free wifi, free parking, etc. As well, there are many stores and restaurants nearby.
If you choose to stay at the McIntosh Country Inn, please make your reservations directly with them. Watergirl Quilt Co will not be responsible for or handling any accommodations. Please contact the inn directly

Cancellation:
Should you decide to cancel your registration for this Event more than 4 weeks prior to the event date, you will receive a full store credit on a Watergirl Quilt Co. gift card.
If you cancel 4 weeks or less prior to event date, you will forfeit your full registration fee.
If you are unable to attend, you do have the option of finding your own replacement participant. However, Watergirl Quilt Co. will not assist with this or give any fee credit to the original participant. You would be required to email us the name and contact information of your replacement.
