Virtual Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Happy Monday Everyone,
We had a fabulous first week at Watergirl Quilt Co. for our "soft opening" of our store which continues until Thursday of this week. It was sew much fun to meet many of our customers in person last week and to communicate with many of you by phone and email regarding the fun birthday bash sale that we held on Facebook.
By the way, the orders from the Facebook sale are almost all shipped out. Tomorrow we will get that completed when we are in the shop again. Thank you to everyone who participated. We had fun and learned a lot from our first time trying this kind of event.
Our staff have been busy training and preparing our new merchandise for the official grand opening that is this week on July 17th and 18th. Jennifer, Faith, Kathy, Margaret and Ann have been working very hard with me to get the store ready for our big opening specials and for our events.
First up, is "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere" on Friday, July 17th at 5pm EST. Join us on Zoom to receive a personal tour of the shop, closeups of the specials, door prizes and more. Grab your favourite Friday beverage and put your feet up while you enjoy the fun. You might want to download our shopping list so that you can start your wish list during the Zoom event and then go online to shop for in-store pickup or shipping. This is a complimentary event so that you may participate in our grand opening wherever you may live and so that you can easily stay physically distanced.
However, we are having a ribbon cutting ceremony at the store on Saturday, July 18th at 1pm EST. You are invited to attend. Please be aware of physical distancing as we all try to stay safe and COVID-free.
There will be more information coming about our 2 days of specials just for the grand opening.
Good News! Our area of Ontario will enter Phase 3 or re-opening our economy on July 17th which means that we will now start looking into venues that can accommodate workshops and allow the participants to socially distance indoors. We also have exciting news about a workshop coming soon on Zoom. Watch for all of that later this month!
We thank you for your loyalty and we hope to serve you on your creative journey for a very long time!
Come and see us at 123 King St. West in Prescott, shop with us online, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Stay safe, stay hopeful and do something that makes you smile!
Sincerely,
Michelle and the Watergirls!
