The sun is shining here and we are excited to share that Curiouser & Curiouser by Tula Pink is close to being ready to ship out to local quilt shops! So now is the time to scoop up this magical, "wonderful" fabric collection from one of our favourite designers.
Little Alice fell down the hole, bumped her head and bruised her soul” ---Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland Alice in Wonderland was written by Lewis Carroll in 1865. A story does not endure for 155 years without capturing the imagination of generations. It is the story of a world turned on its head. It begs us to question everything we know, throw away our assumptions and succumb to nonsense.
Hmm, kind of feels like a description of the times that we are living in right now, but not in a good way.
Wonderland captures the most essential nature of what Tula Pink wants her fabric to be and why she quilts... escapism. When the weight of the world is too much, quilting can heal the soul.
This collection focuses on some of the most memorable themes and characters from the story, Alice in Wonderland and includes portrait prints that are designed to easily cut down to 8 1/2 inch squares without cutting into the next portrait. There is a lot to discover in this collection and everything has meaning from the original story. Curiouser and Curiouser features a total of 25 detailed prints in full, vibrant color, plus two, 108 inch backing fabrics. The collection is designed to be loud and exuberant while working seamlessly with True Colors! There is even a very cool quilt kit called the Mad Hatter Tea Party.
