Do you know that they weight at least 25 pounds depending on the fiber? Are you at ease carrying a 25 pound of batting that is 96" long? I know that I struggle with it! I have to ask my husband for help to get it out of the closet. I don't have enough floor space to roll it out and cut it without moving some furniture and if you have every bought one of those rolls, then you know that you are forking out anywhere from $300 to $500 and if you are like most quilters, it probably takes you a year or two to use it up.
We have a different solution to offer you. How about mini-rolls of batting that are still 96" long but are folded down to be the same size as a regular bolt of fabric! And they have 9 yards of batting on on each roll. That is enough batting for 3 queen size quilts! The best part is that they only weight about 7 pounds!
